Three-Tier Distribution, Direct Shipment, and Wine Politics in the New York Times

Lindsey A. Zahn, April 5, 2011August 11, 2014

On Sunday, The New York Times published an excellent op-ed article tracing the history of the regulation of wine in the states and discussing the major contemporary problem relating to three-tier distribution in America. The article, which is brilliantly written by David White of Terroirist blog, is accessible at Wholesale Robbery in Liquor Sales. Mr. White’s recount of the regulation of wine is structured with great accuracy and properly depicts the budding political issues among wholesalers and wineries. An excellent read and well worth your time!
